It is the first production vehicle from a German auto maker with this technology.

The new steering feel benefits driving dynamics, maneuvering and parking. With steer-by-wire, the steering effort required from the driver can be further reduced and the driver no longer needs to adjust their grip on the steering wheel when turning. Vibrations caused by uneven road surfaces, which were previously transmitted to the driver via the steering wheel, can now be eliminated.

By automatically surfacing these moments in real time, insights from Positive Driving enable managers to lead coaching sessions with recognition, foster a more motivating safety culture and reduce accidents and turnover.

Motive enables the acknowledgement of positive driving moments in real time. With AI-powered recognition, companies can create a more engaged workforce, which, Motive says, results in an average of 64% fewer safety incidents and 43% lower turnover.

For this year’s program, ASAM (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems) expanded the scope beyond ADAS/AD to address a wider range of ASAM standards, exploring topics ranging from early-stage development to real-time interaction during operation, encompassing critical aspects such as over-the-air (OTA) updates and diagnostics.

The House of Communication in Munich hosted the conference and provided a suitable backdrop for discussions, embodying the association’s commitment to innovation and collaboration.

Each HUD is customized for the intended viewer. Each separate display areas measures up to 400mm by 300mm and contains a specifically programmed holographic optical element (HOE).

By using holography and precise manipulation of light, the system can ensure that information is visible only to the designated user, for greater safety and comfort while driving.

The solution, which was demonstrated at the Driving Vision News Interior Workshop in Cologne on April 23-24 , can be replicated in volume using Ceres’s HoloFlekt manufacturing machinery.
