AVL is at ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo this year to underline its credentials as a ‘one-stop shop’ capable of providing engineering services and the entire toolchain for the verification and validation process of ADAS and AD systems.

“In particular, we offer a full range of solutions, products and services on the road and in the lab to give developers and engineers precise insights into how to deal with various ADAS/AD safety and development challenges,” explained Gerald Hochmann, business development program manager (ADAS), AVL.

The company offers engineering services for validating ADAS/AD in new vehicle generations and virtual testing solutions, including EMC testing. “To ensure that ADAS/AD functions perform as expected, scenario-based testing is critical to meet specific regulatory and industry standards for safety,” continued Hochmann. “Road testing solutions pave the way to vehicle homologation, like ALKS.”

As a strong partner for safety argumentation and NCAP assessment, AVL offers sophisticated infrastructure services. These include its proving ground at AVL ZalaZONE (Hungary); and its dedicated Mobility and Sensor Test Center – a unique indoor laboratory for AD systems, in Roding, Germany – which allows engineers to control adverse weather and lighting conditions.
