A new partnership between RoboSense and Toyota has been announced that will see RoboSense integrated into Toyota’s supply chain system.

RoboSense and Toyota – which has already enjoyed successful joint ventures with domestic vehicle brands such as FAW, GAC and BYD – will now collaborate on several top-selling FAW Toyota models. The two companies will equip the vehicles with RoboSense’s RS-LiDAR-M series lidar (M-series), enabling the Toyota models to benefit from accurate perception capabilities for enhanced safety. The move will also promote the series production and large-scale application of lidar within the automotive sector.

RoboSense’s M-series is a featured automotive-grade product designed for series vehicle production. The solution is stated to be the only second-generation smart solid-state lidar in the world to achieve the automotive-grade series production. It adopts a revolutionary chip-based 2D scanning solution, which benefits from supreme performance and reliability.

To date, the M-series has obtained nominated orders for more than 50 models from nearly 20 car companies, including Toyota, with an expected order volume of more than 10 million units.

RoboSense leverages its professional CNAS-accredited lab and its production and intelligent manufacturing system to satisfy Toyota’s high-quality product and large-scale production requirements.
