ZF starts production of S-Cam4 AV and ADAS camera

LinkedIn +

Celebrating the 65th anniversary of its Marshall Safety Electronics Plant in Illinois, ZF is launching the S-Cam4 camera family, which includes single- and triple-camera models for AV and ADAS, and was developed in conjunction with Intel’s Mobileye.

The single lens, mono-camera is designed to help meet updated test protocols such as EuroNCAP’s pedestrian-triggered automatic emergency braking, including a crossing bicycle test.

The triple-camera TriCam4 supports semi-automated driving functions by adding a telephoto lens for improved long-distance sensing capabilities and a fish-eye lens for improved short-range sensing with a wider field of view.
