Interactive display systems provider VIA optronics has signed a contract with vision systems specialist Immervision Inc. for the design and development of a next-gen automotive camera that can be customized and brought to market quickly.
The partnership will see VIA will work with Immervision to develop a specialized lens technology to customize and produce exterior automotive cameras that address customer need for a greater variety of field of views (FOVs). The cameras are expected to be used most frequently in e-mirror and surround view applications.
