Focal Point Positioning has announced that it is to showcase its S-GNSS Auto software – which enhances global navigation satellite system (GNSS) reliability and supports the use of absolute positioning for autonomous driving in challenging environments – at Tech.AD Europe 2026, which is taking place in Berlin, Germany, on March 23-24.
UK-based Focal Point will demonstrate how S-GNSS Auto addresses common GNSS limitations in environments such as urban canyons and areas with heavy foliage, where signal reflection and attenuation can degrade positioning accuracy. By reducing multipath interference and improving signal sensitivity, the software enhances reliability in conditions where conventional GNSS performs poorly. Based on Focal Point’s patented Supercorrelation technology, S-GNSS Auto operates at the chip level to prioritize direct line-of-sight signals over reflections. Delivered as a firmware upgrade, it strengthens GNSS performance within the ADAS stack.
Attendees will also be able to the latest results from FocalPoint’s collaboration with STMicroelectronics. S-GNSS Auto has been integrated onto ST’s Teseo devices – and the combined solution has shown up to 4x improvements in accuracy across a range of signal-challenged environments, including Frankfurt, the Black Forest, London, Tokyo and Seoul.
“Tech.AD Europe brings together OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and technology leaders from across the automotive sector, making it the ideal forum to demonstrate how our software can help auto makers advance autonomy with confidence,” said Manuel Del Castillo, VP of business development at Focal Point Positioning.
“Our joint solution with STMicroelectronics shows consistent improvements in accuracy in tough environments worldwide. Tech.AD 2026 gives us the platform to share the results of our tests and discuss how reliable GNSS positioning can help OEMs enhance ADAS & V2X capabilities.”
