At ADAS & Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo Europe, Kognic is showcasing its data set management solutions designed to enhance sensor fusion for advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving.
Known for helping global enterprises create efficient ground-truth data pipelines, Kognic says it has established its platform as a core software solution in the industry.
Isak Hjortgren, the company’s product and engineering manager, outlined the importance of data management: “The complexity and dynamic nature of the data needed to power ADAS/AD is demanding faster and more flexible methods to access the data that matters for model performance, i.e. where certain objects trigger key rare events (the border cases).”
The Kognic Platform is used by technology companies such as Qualcomm, Bosch, Continental, Kodiak and Zenseact, which develop ADAS/AD systems for major OEMs.
Hjortgren explained, “Kognic’s platform focus is on fusing multisensor data feeds into unified data sets that can then be annotated, labeled and tagged inside our platform. These complex data sets are then used in ML to produce running models for production as well as verification. Our combination of automated and embedded human feedback enables the OEM or T1 customer to focus on the data that matters.”
The company’s annotation engine supports critical tools including multisensor fusion, data exploration, pre-annotations and performance analytics. These tools have been validated in numerous ADAS/AD deployments, demonstrating their effectiveness and reliability.
“All of Kognic‘s customers use the full range of our platform capabilities, including core annotation features for managing complex point clouds, as well as the ability to organize their data sets for easy visualization, measurement and curation across multiple use cases and mission objectives. Additionally, the growth in validation and verification as a market need has brought our comprehensive platform into further use for our customers who wish to verify data sets from other partners (BPOs, other platforms),” added Hjortgren.
