Xpeng’s L03 has become the first vehicle to launch simultaneously across 65 markets spanning Europe and China. Positioned as a next-gen AI SUV coupe, the L03 combines coupe-SUV styling, a premium interior, practicality and driver-assistance technology aimed at international markets. It was designed by a team led by JuanMa López, Ferrari’s former head of exterior design, using Xpeng‘s Vital Flow design language. The vehicle features a wide-body stance, fastback silhouette, frameless doors and a drag coefficient of 0.228.

The cabin combines a 15.6in central display, W-HUD, immersive ambient lighting, intelligent climate control and lounge-style seating. It has 37 storage spaces, generous cargo capacity and up to 1,500kg towing capability. Built on Xpeng’s full-stack in-house technology architecture, the L03 brings some of the company’s most advanced intelligent driving capabilities to global markets.

An era of intelligence

The L03 features Xpeng’s latest Next Generation Pilot (NGP/VLA 2.0), an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) based on the company’s physical-world foundation model, which Xpeng plans to introduce in Europe from 2027. According to the company, the system is designed to interpret and navigate complex driving scenarios beyond the capabilities of conventional function-specific ADAS. The L03 is also equipped with three Turing AI chips, providing a combined computing performance of up to 2,250 TOPS (trillion operations per second).

Xpeng introduces L03 with next-generation AI cockpit and ADAS.Beyond intelligent driving capabilities, the L03 debuts the international version of Xpeng’s New Global Intelligent Cockpit Experience with XOS 6. At the heart of the experience is a next-generation AI voice assistant rebuilt to support more natural conversations, contextual understanding and seamless multilingual interaction. Rather than responding only to commands, the system can interpret user intent and intelligently adjust vehicle functions accordingly, creating a more intuitive and human-centered cockpit experience. The new capabilities will be introduced to users through future OTA updates.

Google Maps partnership

Xpeng has announced a partnership with Google Maps for vehicles outside China.

Through the Software Development Kit (SDK), Xpeng will build its own navigation system, giving users access to foundational Google Maps technology and services in a custom Xpeng experience. Users need neither download the Google Maps app themselves nor rely on smartphone screen mirroring. Instead, they can enjoy the complete Xpeng in-car map experience built specifically for the company’s vehicles.

Xpeng will also use Google Maps in-vehicle map data services to support its NGP (VLA 2.0) and XPILOT Assist, the foundational assistance system. Global users of the Xpeng L03 will be the first to be given this upgraded experience.

“At Xpeng we believe that the level of AI technology in our vehicles will be the game-changer for the mobility of the future. That is why one of Xpeng’s key priorities is to always be among those manufacturers providing customers with the most advanced technology,” said He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of Xpeng. “We are building a physical AI company. We want to use technology to change how people move and how people live. We believe technology should be for everyone, not just for a few people. That’s why we work to bring smart technology to more people around the world.”
