XenomatiX launches next-generation solid-state lidar

XenoLidar-X, a true-solid-state lidar, is now available from XenomatiX. The standalone, off-the-shelf solution has no moving parts, is modular in design and fit for centralized or distributed integration via two distinct versions: Xpert for long-range applications and Xact for mid-range applications. It provides a simultaneous optical output power increase and an electrical power consumption decrease by a factor of 10, using a multi-beam laser projector to generate a high-resolution grid of measurement points.

The XenomatiX team has also focused on delivering a future-proof sensor with a small and light design for easy integration. Integration has been an important element of the company’s ongoing partnerships with Tier 1 automotive suppliers, including AGC, Marelli, Kautex and others to create a complete, customizable, modular and flexible lidar solution. Soon these partnerships will deliver lidars integrated into the windshield, rear window, grill, headlight, taillight and bumper of the vehicle.

‘‘Today we bring to the market a cost-effective lidar solution in full preparation for mass-production,” said Filip Geuens, CEO of XenomatiX. “The feedback we get from OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers indicates our product delivers a welcome fit to their concerns.’’

XenoLidar-X will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the forthcoming Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo, In Hannover, Germany – click here for more details about the event.
