A wide array of smart lidar sensor solutions has been exhibited by RoboSense at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, USA. These include the company’s solid-state blind spot lidar, RS-Lidar-E1 (E1), and the second-generation smart solid-state lidar, the RS-Lidar-M series (M series), which made its overseas debut at the show.

The E1 is described as an automotive-grade solid-state lidar which features chips developed by RoboSense. The lidar benefits from a simplified product circuit design and production processes while still offering a high level of performance at an effective price point. The RS-Lidar-E1 can deliver a 120° × 90° ultra-wide field-of-view and also supports an ultra-high refresh rate of more than 25Hz. Furthermore, the solution has a ranging capability of 30m at 10%. RoboSense states that the lidar will help intelligent vehicle systems achieve zero blind area.

Some new products also made their debut at the show, with RoboSense showcasing its latest M series lidar range. The series, which benefits from high performance, high reliability and high scalability at a low cost, is claimed by RoboSense to be the only lidar product in the sector which can achieve continuous performance upgrades.

To date, the M series is in use on more than 50 models from various automotive OEMs including BYD, XPeng, Zeekr Intelligent Technology, Lotus Cars and Lucid.
