Hyundai Motor Group has announced the appointment of Dr Minwoo Park, a global expert in autonomous driving technology, as head of its advanced vehicle platform (AVP) division and CEO of 42dot, an autonomous driving software and mobility platform development startup, to strengthen software-defined vehicles (SDV) and autonomous driving-based vehicle software competitiveness.
Park brings expertise from leading tech companies, including Nvidia and Tesla, where he led autonomous driving development from research through to commercialization.

The appointment is intended to accelerate the development and application of vehicle software for software-defined and autonomous vehicles, supporting the Group’s SDV strategy, advancing technology and speeding product development.
