Wejo, a smart mobility, cloud and software solutions company for connected, electric and autonomous vehicle data has announced a data agreement with Toyota Motor North America which will enable Wejo to provide personalized connected vehicle data services for participating cloud-connected fleet vehicles in the USA.
Under the agreement, Wejo will receive data derived from participating Toyota fleet vehicles. This data will then be processed and anonymized by Wejo’s Adept platform. Captured data can then be used by telematics service providers (TSPs), fleet owners and fleet management service (FMS) companies who are interested in utilizing data from embedded OEM hardware to support fleet services instead of more unreliable aftermarket hardware.
The fleet of connected Toyota vehicles and the subsequent data stream can empower TSPs and FMS companies with the insights necessary to inform operations, such as geographic locations, odometer and speed readings, fuel insights or tire pressures. Furthermore, Wejo will be able to access to driver behavior information and the associated data to promote and enhance safe driving.
