IDV to become the majority shareholder of Horiba MIRA’s Uncrewed Ground Vehicle division

The Iveco Group brand for defense and civil protection equipment, IDV, has entered an agreement with Horiba MIRA to acquire a controlling stake in MIRA UGV, the company’s Uncrewed Ground Vehicle division.

The agreement will see IDV’s knowledge of defense vehicle production combined with Horiba MIRA’s position as an expert within the advanced uncrewed ground vehicle sector. With its system integration proficiencies in an expansive array of multi-terrain platforms, IDV will leverage Horiba MIRA’s experience of autonomous vehicle, remote control and teleoperated technology.

Through the agreement, IDV will continue to focus on technological advancements to ensure it delivers the most advanced automotive and protection solutions for the defense industry.
