Autotalks, a provider of V2X communication solutions, has collaborated with Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) to verify the performance of its third-generation V2X chipset. The Tekton3 and Secton3 chipsets were tested using the most recent 5G-V2X capability of the R&S CMP180 radio communication tester.
Both companies will showcase a joint 5G-V2X test setup at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, February 26-29.
This collaboration between Rohde & Schwarz and Autotalks aims to ensure the correct operation of 5G-V2X by verifying the chipset’s performance.
V2X technology facilitates communication between vehicles, infrastructure and pedestrians, for cooperative maneuvers and sensor data sharing. With its enhanced modulation and group communication capabilities, 5G-V2X aims to enable new use cases.
The R&S CMP180 radio communication test platform acts as a non-signaling solution for wireless devices supporting various cellular and non-cellular technologies. Its features include multiple analyzers and generators and scalability for simultaneous measurements, which, according to R&S, helps with R&D and mass-production testing.
Autotalks’ Tekton3 and Secton3 chipsets support all four V2X side-link communication standards, including LTE-V2X, IEEE 802.11p (DSRC) and the new 5G-V2X and 802.11bd.
