ProteanTecs’ IP for system-on-chip (SoC) health and performance monitoring and die-to-die interconnect monitoring has been awarded Automotive Safety Integrity Level B (ASIL-B) certification following a detailed evaluation of the hardware design and an architectural metrics assessment.

The ASIL-B certification is part of the ISO 26262 functional safety standard which aims to provide an automotive international standard for safety-critical components while also delivering a framework for developing safety-related electronic and electrical systems installed in roadgoing vehicles.

ProteanTecs’ predictive on-chip monitoring solutions are used by automotive OEMs to ensure performance, quality and reliability of their respective advanced SoCs and ECUs in autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems, connectivity and in-vehicle infotainment applications.

“With the increasing complexity of automotive technology, it’s more important than ever for automotive manufacturers to have the right data to ensure the safety and reliability of their electronic systems,” said Gal Carmel, executive VP and GM of automotive, ProteanTecs.

“Achieving ASIL-B readiness certification furthers our commitment to supporting mission-critical systems and is a significant milestone in our long-term standardization strategy.”
