Innoviz Technologies has recently completed a winter testing expedition in Northern Europe for its InnovizTwo lidar and perception software.
The Munich-based team embarked on an 18-day journey in April, capturing detailed point cloud images of landscapes across Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic and Austria.
This expedition aimed to showcase the capabilities of Innoviz’s perception software in documenting and analyzing complex environments during winter. The software, designed to complement Innoviz’s hardware solutions, leverages data from lidar sensors and proprietary AI algorithms to deliver advanced object detection, classification, tracking, collision classification, localization and calibration.
Through integration with other sensors’ perception algorithms, Innoviz’s software can enhance overall performance and safety while remaining resource-efficient and compatible with various automotive-grade computing platforms.
