World Economic Forum publishes framework to accelerate adoption of autonomous transportation

The World Economic Forum (WEF), a not-for-profit organization tasked with bettering the planet, has put forward a draft framework to help cities accelerate the uptake of shared, electric and autonomous transportation options.

The Shared, Electric and Automated Mobility (SEAM) Governance Framework outlines a four-step process that can be adjusted to suit different urban environments. It illuminates best practices in the development of SEAM governance and suggests both short- and long-term goals for any pilot projects using the framework.

WEF will set up a task force referred to as the Global New Mobility Coalition, which will focus on SEAM and will help support any cities interested in adopting the framework.
