Stuttgart-based software and automotive electronics company Vector is to distribute Baselabs’ Create Embedded software as part of its ADAS product portfolio following the signing of a cooperation agreement. The duo have worked together since 2014 on the joint development of driver assistance and automated driving systems.
Certified to ISO 26262 standard, the Baselabs Create Embedded software library will enable the generation of individual sensor fusion algorithms alongside Autosar software components for safety-compliant use in production vehicles.
The Create Embedded software contains reference architecture and fusion algorithms that are capable of combining data from radars, cameras and lidar sensors reliably. These sensor fusion algorithms can then be executed directly on embedded devices and ECUs with Vector Autosar Basic Software, Microsar and in the selected target vehicle.
When using the Baselabs software, ADAS ECU developers can individually customize object fusion systems. Furthermore, the library-generated MISRA-C source code is fully accessible and can be optimized for execution on embedded platforms. Create Embedded enables sensor fusion systems to be configured for application to a multitude of ADAS functions, sensor combinations and design domains. In turn, this reduces the amount of time and resources needed for sensor fusion development.
