Driverless technology company EasyMile and Rocsys, a specialist in hands-free charging solutions for electric vehicles (EVs), have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing fully autonomous industrial vehicle operations.
The partnership involves integrating Rocsys’s charging technology with EasyMile’s expertise in autonomous vehicle (AV) fleets to enhance the efficiency and reliability of industrial AV operations.
The companies say they share a vision of “a future where industrial AVs can seamlessly charge themselves, without any human intervention or downtime”. Their goal is to enable AV fleets to operate continuously, in order to maximize uptime and productivity.
Using next-generation soft robotics, AI-driven computer vision and data-driven services, EasyMile and Rocsys aim to automate the charging process from vehicle docking to full charge. The partnership will also offer smart booking and dispatch services to optimize asset utilization and enhance operational efficiency.
