This partnership will provide end-to-end fleet management and operational services to support Waymo’s autonomous mobility operation, beginning with an initial deployment in San Diego, California, and expanding to additional markets over time.

Autonomous mobility is rapidly advancing, and scaling these fleets requires more than vehicles on the road – it requires an integrated operational and digital orchestration layer, capable of managing fleet readiness, charging infrastructure, energy optimization, maintenance, compliance and real-time operational performance across markets.

Under the agreement, Steer Tech will serve as the autonomous and sensor technology backbone of Pliyt’s ridesharing platform.

Steer Tech’s AI-driven platform spans the full autonomy stack, delivering perception, navigation, real-time decision-making and multi-sensor integration capabilities. Proven across demanding environments including military bases, airports, warehouses and last-mile logistics operations, the same technology will now underpin the vehicle intelligence and autonomous capabilities of Pliyt’s ridesharing platform, bringing a level of reliability and sophistication rarely seen in early-stage autonomous mobility programs.

“Our technology has earned its stripes across a wide range of environments: military sites, airport operations, distribution centers, last-mile operations and that breadth is exactly what makes it the right foundation for what Pliyt is building,” said Anuja Sonalker, founder and CEO of Steer Tech.

Horizon Robotics and XPeng took second and third place. With this result, WeRide Driving (WRD 3.0) has achieved four consecutive wins.

WRD 3.0 is built around rapid technological iteration, using WeRide’s Genesis simulation model and large-scale L4 driverless road data to replicate complex scenarios at scale. Continuous training, validation and optimization create a closed loop between real-world driving and simulation, enabling strong scenario generalization and ongoing performance improvement as mileage increases.
