The ID Roomzz combines future IQ Drive systems, meaning that on request it can glide through the traffic at Level 4 in ID Pilot mode. The vehicle occupants are provided with information via interactive light zones.

When the driver switches to fully automatic driving mode, individual seats can be rotated inward by 25° to enable a more communicative, lounge-like atmosphere on board.

Moreover, when the car is driving fully automatically, the ID Pilot Relax mode allows each passenger to adjust their seat individually to suit their needs.

Leveraging AI and equipped with a comprehensive sensor set, the technology allows vehicles to perform various automated driving functions.

Torsten Gollewski, head of autonomous mobility solutions at ZF, noted, “The ZF coPilot is equipped with artificial intelligence, a 360° sensor set, the powerful ProAI central computer and Nvidia’s Drive platform, thus offering driving and safety functions that surpass the performance of a regular Level 2 system for semi-automated driving. This enables us to achieve an improved quality in semi-automated driving.”

Set for volume production prior to 2021, ZF coPilot can be operated with voice commands and is designed to recognize traffic conditions, sense vehicle handling and monitor the driver, helping to pre-empt hazardous situations through active control intervention.
